What this lip balm Claims and my experience:
This lip balm from Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom series claims of having a new and unique shade that has new technology to stand out among all. This lip balm imparts your lips with a hue which is just yours. This gloss contains some sort of a tone revealing pigment that reacts with the lip cells to generate a healthy shade on the lips! As you can understand, the chemical relation/ reaction that your own body cells produce with the pigments of the lip gloss will be somewhat unique from other person. So, the colour is custom made for you. Apart from this, it also has moisture and keep to keep the lips really soft, nourishing and hydrated all the time. It contains the goodness of jojoba and even Pro-vitamin E formula. Vitamin E is a great anti oxidant too. As an added advantage, it contains a good value of Sun Protection Factor, SPF 16 that helps to guard your lips from dangerous UV rays of sun. I had a good experience with this one except for one thing. It comes in a twisty tube and that tube is very delicate and can become struck at any time. Maybelline should work on the packaging of this particular flaw.

What this lip balm Claims and my experience:
This one is loved by one and all I have come across. It claims of renewing your lips and turning them to baby soft. It gives a good 8 hours hydration promise. It super hydrates and moisturizes your lips. It does have a good staying power with its effect lasting for nearly 4 hours. The 8 hour claim is not true as it is. After regular usage of four weeks, you get soft, renewed lips all thanks to this lip balm’s best lips renewal formula. Well, I found this to be true. It helped me maintain super soft lips with no chapping troubles throughout the chilly winters. It comes with a SPF factor of 20. To suit everybody’s colour preferences, This range of lip balms has 7 different shades like Berry Crush, Cherry Kiss, Mango Pie, Pink Lolita, Peach Blossom, Anti-oxidant Berry, Coral Flush,. It just delivers a dash of colour not a well defined pigment. It is a lip balm after all.
3. Nivea Fruity Shine in Pomegranate

What this lip balm Claims and my experience:
This lip balm is from the renowned brand Nivea which has Fruit Extracts and Shimmering Pigments. It claims of giving long lasting moisturization. It comes with an exciting fruity fragrance of pomegranate-that pleases your sense of smell. This lip balm replenishes the lost moisture from the lips and also leaves a touch of soft colour on your lips. This new formula combines the goodness of jojoba oil , rich almond oil, and even shea butter to keep your lips as soft and fresh as they can be. It also contains SPF10 protection against UVA and UVB. I loved everything from texture to smell to effect on my lips except for the shimmers. Overall, this is a good product to try.
4. Jovees Lip Balm Strawberry

Jovees Lip Balm offers lip care with a specially developed formula. This lip balm contains extracts of Pure Almond and Olive extracts. It also has an infusion of Natural Vitamins A, B, C and E. Vitamin A helps in maintaining healthy epithelial surfaces, Vitamin C helps in production of Collagen makes your lips plump and Vitamin E imparts softness. This unique Lip balm formulation soothes hydrates and conditions your delicate lips and helps in restoring the lost moisture and brings a healthy shine to the lips. This is an excellent recipe for dry and chapped lips. Jovees products are a bit under rated but honestly this actually works.
5. LipIce Lip Balm – Strawberry
Price: Rs 120 for 4.3 grams

This lip balm from Lip Ice is enriched with Lanolin and Mineral oil extracts. Lip Ice Lip Balm prevents your lips from being chapped and dry. This lip balm hydrates and moisturizes your lips well to make them soft, plump and luscious. It also has SPF 15 to guard against sun damage caused by UV rays and hence prevents lip darkening, too. The cherry on the cake, it contains Menthol and Camphor to give a cool, tingling and refreshing effect on your lips that I personally enjoy.
6. The Body Shop- Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm Strawberry
Price: Rs 250 for 10ml
What this lip balm Claims and my experience:
This lip balm comes in a stick style format. This lip balm gives your lips a healthy pop of Pink colour along with a healthy shot of moisture and a soft sheen across your lips. It comes in a fruity, yummy strawberry flavour that pleases the senses. The Body Shop products are few of the best buys I have made in my life and they are super satisfying.
7. Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy Mint
Price: INR 135 for 4gm
What this lip balm Claims and my experience:
This is a non-tinted balm that moisturises lips well without making them looks too glossy and contains SPF too. It is mint flavoured and so, leaves a cool sensation on lips. I have heard my sister complaining that it hardens in winters so, not a must buy from my side.
